The Local Executive Chief of Taytay, Palawan, Hon. Mayor Christian V. Rodriguez, successfully conducted the Ulat sa Bayan 2023 last March 21, 2023 at Fort Sta. Isabel Ground Stage, Barangay Poblacion, Taytay, Palawan, which highlighted the accomplishments of the Municipal Government in various sectors such as Social Development, Economic, Institutional, Environment, and Infrastructure. Attended by local officials, barangay leaders, student organization leaders, civic organization leaders, local government employees, and employees of national government agencies, the program emphasized the importance of transparency, accountability, and collaboration between sectors to achieve the goals of the local government.
During the program, Mayor Rodriguez presented his administration’s achievements in the past year, including the 6 Point Development Agenda focusing on food security, health, education, local government management, and strengthening the local economy. The local government also assisted small businesses to recover from the pandemic and implemented programs to improve the environment, such as reforestation and solid waste management. Hon. Rodriguez also showed numbers and data that proved the successes of his administration, including the expansion of social services such as providing free medicine to the poor, providing assistance to those in need of education, and responding to health needs.
In his message, Hon. Rodriguez expressed his desire to provide a better life for every citizen in the Municipality and prioritized the welfare, development, and safety of every Taytayano. He also thanked the people who continue to support his administration and promised to work hard to achieve the goals of the local government for the benefit of all citizens of Taytay, Palawan.
Ms. Aizel Jane Delos Angeles, the DILG-Municipal Local Government Operations Officer – Taytay, Palawan Field Office, shared that the program was indeed required and in accordance with the law, while Mr. Ramil B. Gaviana, the Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator, provided Presentation of Objectives.
In the Closing Remarks, Sangguniang Bayan Member Honorable Alerey T. Rapsing – Rosas thanked the attendees from various government branches and community sectors for their participation and expressed her gratitude to the Executive Chief for the Ulat sa Bayan report, which showed good governance and marked just the beginning of a long journey towards good governance.
