Mandate
The Office of Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management shall take charge and responsible for setting the direction, development, implementation, and coordination of DRRM programs, projects and activities pursuant to Republic Act 10121 or the “Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act of 2010”.
With the administration’s thrust “Taytay, UNA SA LAHAT”, prioritizing the needs of every TAYTAYANO is the mecca of this institution. With its mantra “Ligtas na Bayan Maunlad na Pamayanan”, the Municipal Risk Reduction and Management Office aims to harmonize DRRM activities all across the municipality, incorporate and institutionalize DRRM strategies to every local plans and capacitate every TAYTAYANO with DRRM related skills and knowledge that is accurate and tailor fitted to their needs and vulnerabilities. This thrust aims to maintain and achieve “ZERO CASUALTIES IN TIMES OF DISASTERS & EMERGENCIES”.
Services
- Hazard and Vulnerability Site Assessment and issuance of Hazard Certification (for infrastructure projects and site development plans)
- Provision of Trainings and other Capacity Building Activities related to Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) (e.g. First Aid Orientation, Disaster Management, Drills etc.)
- Assistance to Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Committees (BDRRMCs) to any DRRM related Projects, Programs and Activities (Review of BDRRM Plans and other DRRM related plans etc.)
- Emergency Rescue Services (Barangay to Hospital) through the MDRRMO Emergency Response Unit
- Patient Conduction Services (Hospital to Hospital Referral System) through the MDRRMO Emergency Response Unit
- Assistance during DISASTERS and EMERGENCIES (typhoons, floods, fire incident and others alike)
Other services (for COVID-19 Operations)
- Processing of Travel Documents and other attachments through S-PASS
- Repatriation Services
- Border Control Monitoring
- Assistance to individuals tested positive for COVID-19 including Close Contacts
